In the words of the late
photographer, Diana Arbus, "Nothing is ever the same as they said it was.
It's what I've never seen before that I recognize."
I am one of the rare native Floridians. I was born in Orlando and am a
graduate of the University of South Florida. The daughter of a painter I
spent much of my childhood in an art studio and at art shows. My interest in
photography started at the age of 10 when I got my first camera. When my
daughter Suzanne was born I spent all my spare time photographing her. I
decided I enjoyed it so much I'd like to do it for a living. I trained with
Frey Photography in Orlando and I've had my own photography studio in
Longwood for nineteen years. The last sixteen years I have operated from my
home, Magnolia Acres, a historic house. I specialize in natural light
portrait photography, classic and photojournalistic wedding photography, and
my favorite, fine art photography.
I am presently a member of the Women's Caucus for Art Florida chapter and
also the Artist's League of Orange County. A past member of the Central
Florida Society for Historic Preservation, I served on the Historic
Preservation Board for the city of Longwood.
I love photography. I feel like my camera is an extension of my body. I love
being able to use my camera to capture anything anytime.
